The easy way to detect the most common machine faults
Critical machinery usually is equipped with an online protection system to avoid catastrophic failure. In most cases, operators will add online condition monitoring to be able to diagnose and trend a developing fault at an early stage. But how about semi-critical or so-called balance-of-plant machines? It’s probably too costly to install an online monitoring system on all of them. Even a sophisticated large portable device would be over-kill. Yet you don’t want to let them run without any inspection as any sudden machine failure will undoubtedly impact the whole production process.
